Privacy Policy
Texra is designed to process photos and text primarily on your device. This Policy explains what data is involved when you use the App.
1. Who we are
This Privacy Policy applies to the mobile application Texra (the “App”). For privacy questions, contact us at xuetingcat@gmail.com.
2. Information we process
A. Photos and OCR content (on device)
When you take a photo or choose an image from your gallery, the App processes that image on your device using on-device OCR to extract text. Photos and recognition results are stored locally on your device as history records unless you delete them.
B. Translation
Translation uses Google ML Kit on-device translation. Language models may be downloaded to your device when needed. Source text and translated text are processed for the translation feature and may be kept in local history if you save results.
C. App settings and purchases
The App stores preferences locally (for example language and feature settings). If you purchase Premium, Google Play Billing processes the payment. We do not receive your full payment card details. Premium entitlement may be stored locally on the device and verified through Google Play.
D. Advertising data
If you are not on Premium (ad-free), the App may show ads via Google AdMob. AdMob and its partners may collect or receive device and advertising identifiers, IP address, approximate location derived from IP, and interaction data to deliver and measure ads, subject to Google’s policies and your device settings.
E. Diagnostics
The App may generate local logs for troubleshooting (for example OCR load failures). We do not operate a separate analytics account that collects personal profiles from Texra beyond what third-party SDKs (such as AdMob) may collect as described above.
3. How we use information
- Provide OCR, editing, history, and translation features on your device.
- Remember your settings and Premium status.
- Show ads to non-Premium users via Google AdMob.
- Respond to support requests you send to us by email.
4. Data storage and retention
- Local-first: Images, OCR results, and history are stored on your device.
- Deletion: You can delete history records in the App. Uninstalling the App removes local App data.
- No OCR cloud upload by Texra: Texra does not upload your photos to our own servers for OCR.
- Ads / Play: Google may process data under their own retention policies when you use AdMob ads or Play Billing.
5. Sharing of information
We do not sell your personal information. Data may be shared with:
- Google AdMob — advertising for non-Premium users.
- Google Play / Play Billing — distribution and optional Premium purchase.
- Google ML Kit — on-device translation (and related Google Play services model downloads).
- Legal requirements — if required by law or to protect rights and safety.

6. Your choices
- Deny camera or photo access in system settings (some features will not work).
- Reset or limit advertising ID in Android settings.
- Purchase Premium (when available) to remove ads.
- Delete local history in the App or uninstall the App.
- Contact us to ask questions about this Policy.
7. Children
The App is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact xuetingcat@gmail.com.
8. International users
Third-party providers (such as Google) may process data in countries other than where you live. By using the App, you understand that such processing may occur according to those providers’ terms.
9. Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date will change when we do. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated Policy.

本应用在本地保存偏好设置（例如语言与功能选项）。 若您购买 Premium，付款由 Google Play 结算处理；我们不会收到您的完整银行卡信息。 Premium 权益可能保存在本地，并通过 Google Play 校验。
D. 广告数据
若您未开通 Premium（去广告），本应用可能通过 Google AdMob 展示广告。 AdMob 及其合作伙伴可能收集或接收设备与广告标识符、IP 地址、由 IP 推断的大致位置， 以及广告互动数据，用于投放与衡量广告，并受 Google 政策与您的设备设置约束。
E. 诊断信息
本应用可能生成用于排查问题的本地日志（例如 OCR 加载失败）。 除上述第三方 SDK（如 AdMob）可能收集的信息外，我们不另行运营用于建立个人画像的独立分析账号。
3. 我们如何使用信息
- 在设备上提供 OCR、编辑、历史记录与翻译功能。
- 记住您的设置与 Premium 状态。
- 通过 Google AdMob 向非 Premium 用户展示广告。
- 回复您通过邮件发送的支持请求。
4. 存储与保留
- 本地优先：图片、OCR 结果与历史记录保存在您的设备上。
- 删除：您可在应用内删除历史记录；卸载应用将删除本地应用数据。
- Texra 不做 OCR 云上传：Texra 不会将您的照片上传到我们自己的服务器进行 OCR。
- 广告 / Play：使用 AdMob 或 Play 结算时，Google 可能按其自身政策处理数据。
5. 信息共享
我们不出售您的个人信息。在以下情况下可能涉及数据共享：
- Google AdMob — 向非 Premium 用户投放广告。
- Google Play / Play 结算 — 分发与可选 Premium 购买。
- Google ML Kit — 端侧翻译（及相关 Google Play 服务模型下载）。
- 法律要求 — 法律要求或为保护权利与安全所必需时。

7. 儿童

8. 国际用户
第三方服务商（如 Google）可能在您所在国家/地区以外处理数据。 使用本应用即表示您理解此类处理可能依据该等服务商条款发生。
9. 变更
我们可能不时更新本隐私政策，并更新文首「最近更新」日期。 变更后继续使用本应用，即表示您接受更新后的政策。
